Types of Devices
- The RPZ, Reduced Pressure Zone, mostly used in commercial
applications with higher hazardous conditions.
- The DCV, Double Check Valve, is used mostly in residential homes on
the main line or sprinkler line.
- The PVB, Pressure Vacuum Breaker, is used mostly on sprinkler lines.
The RPZ & DCV, by Law, must be tested annually by a State Certified and
Licensed Tester with an approved yearly calibrated gauge to ensure that it
